The Project Delivery Coordinator – Infrastructure is responsible for coordinating and administering the planning, development, procurement, design and construction of multiple capital works and infrastructure projects, as directed.
What success looks like

Write briefing papers, business cases, submissions, reports and presentations to facilitate the approval of projects.

Coordinate the planning, execution, monitoring, reporting, and closing of various projects.

Track open action items, issues and risks and ensure timely resolution.

Prepare requests for proposal; participate in the selection of consultants and contractors.

Assist in overseeing site investigation, topographic surveys and other pre-construction contracts.

Coordinate and participate in communication and consultation with project stakeholders, including municipalities, road and rail authorities’ adjacent communities and First Nations.

Coordinate and administer construction activities: inspect and record construction activities and progress.

Report on project status through various internal VFPA tracking systems. Prepare and/or check progress claims. Participate in the preparation of monthly project status reports.

Perform other assigned duties as required.
What you bring:
Must have a university degree in civil engineering from a recognized educational institution along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the delivery of major infrastructure projects within complex multi-stakeholder environments including project development, procurement, design and construction supervision and contract administration.
Must have excellent computer skills including the use of Microsoft office tools. Experience in the use of design software would be considered and asset.
Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively and positively with all contacts, internally and externally. Must be able to work independently, accurately and on own initiative to maintain work output with minimum supervision. Must be a highly organized and detailed-oriented individual who can manage competing priorities and perform multiple tasks as required.

Salary: The starting rate for this position is $57.22 per hour, with scheduled wage progression in accordance with the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) Local 517 collective agreement. Based on a either 37.5 hour work week.

Working environment: Normal office conditions with occasional exposure to adverse weather conditions on operating terminals and roadways.
