Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Bakery Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting daily bakery operations, assisting with food preparation and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and customer service. Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing baked goods, including mixing, measuring, and assembling ingredients
- Handle food safely by following proper hygiene and sanitation procedures
- Package baked items for retail or wholesale distribution
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, ovens, and equipment throughout shifts
- Support team members in daily bakery operations to ensure timely service
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and assisting with selections
- Follow recipes and bakery standards to ensure consistency in product quality
Qualifications
- Experience or interest in baking, or sweet preparation is preferred
- Previous restaurant or bakery experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and packaging baked goods
- A passion for baking, culinary arts, and delivering exceptional customer experiences
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
