Stone Fabricator
Costa Marble & Granite is a marble shop that specializes in the fabrication and installation of stone counter tops for both commercial and residential properties. We are seeking a Fabricator to join our team full-time!
Job Description:
The Fabricator will be responsible for inspecting, cutting and gluing stone materials to create a beautiful finished product.
Duties:
- Use tools for the cutting of marble, porcelain, and other stone materials;
- Read and interpret drawings to determine work required;
- Measure and inspect material during processing to ensure specifications are met;
- Operate machines to drill holes in blocks or slabs of stone according to specifications;
- Use tools to grind and polish surfaces of stone blocks, slabs or other stone products to specific shape or design and to produce a smooth finish;
- Repair any chips caused by the weakness of materials via the use of color and epoxy.
Requirements:
- Experience in stone fabrication (marble, granite, quartz, porcelain);
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and templates;
- Skilled in operating fabrication tools and machinery;
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work;
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods;
- Knowledge of safety practices in a fabrication shop environment;
- Shop environment with exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
