Brown’s Industrial has an opportunity available for a highly motivated, and experienced Journeyman/ Apprentice Carpenters for Our Christina Lake North Project. Our ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
Our Carpenters will be providing general Site Services, light framework for grout pads & door aprons, and placing and finishing grout and small concrete pours. At Brown’s we follow strict Health and Safety guidelines, and the expectation is that you value safety as much as we do..
Tasks include but not limited to:
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications.
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
- Frame walls, roofs, and floors using power tools.
- Preparing your work area; build/place concrete forms, scaffolding and trusses.
- Mixing and pouring concrete, ensuring the concrete’s consistency and depth meet project requirements.
- Leveling and smoothing concrete, round the edges and make joints and grooves to help control surface cracking.
- Applying finishing techniques; adding texture and decorative patterns as per scope.
- Curing and protecting concrete; knowledge of curing compounds and sealers.
- Maintain, repair and remodel all kinds of existing structures.
- Duties will vary depending on site location and project requirements.
Safety tickets required:
- CSTS 2020 Fundamentals
- WHMIS 2015
- H2S Alive
- Ground Disturbance – would be considered an asset
- Must have valid driver's license and provide a driver’s abstract
- Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol Test and Physical Demands Analysis
