As an HVAC Technician at Bruce Mechanical Ltd, you will install, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including air-source heat pumps (ASHPs) and advanced equipment. You will use power tools and technical expertise to ensure proper installation and operation of HVAC systems. You should be able to read and interpret installation manuals, wiring diagrams and schematics to diagnose and resolve issues effectively. Strong skills in refrigeration system troubleshooting, including temperature, pressure and airflow analysis are essential. Promoting a safe, professional and positive company image is key to success in this role.
The Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems including boilers, rooftop units, residential and commercial HVAC, and light industrial HVAC equipment
- Provide clear communication with clients on the operation of their equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment
- Maintain a clean and well stocked truck
- Practice safe work practices in the workplace
- Work in a team atmosphere
- Keep a professional appearance while representing our brand
- Working outside of the normal work week when necessary
Qualitfications:
- A valid G1 or G2 gas technician license
- A valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Valid ODP Certification
- 313A Refrigeration or 313D Refrigeration license
- Understands and willingness to follow proper safety techniques
- Be comfortable with working outside and in all weather conditions
- May have occasion to work in confined spaces and at elevated heights
- On call rotation every 4 weeks (approx) some flexibility is available when workloads allow and to meet the needs of our customers
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communications
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
