Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Confined Space/Rope Rescue Emergency Response Team (ERT) member to join our safety operations. This critical role involves responding to emergency situations involving confined spaces and high-angle rescues, ensuring the safety of personnel and the environment. Duties
- Respond promptly to emergency calls involving confined space entries and rope rescue scenarios
- Lead rescue operations, coordinating team efforts to safely extract individuals from hazardous environments
- Conduct risk assessments and develop rescue plans tailored to specific incidents
- Operate specialized rescue equipment, including ropes, harnesses, and stabilization tools
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, standards, and company policies during rescue missions
- Provide clear communication and direction to team members during high-pressure situations
- Participate in regular training exercises to maintain proficiency in confined space entry, rope rescue techniques, and emergency management procedures
- Assist in the development and review of rescue protocols and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage emergency situations under pressure
- Strong background in emergency management, rescue operations, or related fields
- Experience with confined space entry procedures, rope rescue techniques, and related safety standards
- Certification in confined space rescue, rope rescue, or equivalent is highly desirable
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments and lift heavy equipment as needed
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate team efforts clearly and efficiently
- Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous training to stay current with industry best practices
Required Certifications
- Valid Confined Space Operations or Technician certification meeting NFPA 1006 standards.
- Valid Rope Rescue Operations or Technician certification meeting NFPA 1006 standards.
- Confined Space Entry Monitor certification.
- Basic or Intermediate First Aid (OFA 1 or OFA 2).
Schedule
- 8-10 hour shift
- Starts at 7am
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
