True World Foods Canada is one of the largest wholesale distributors of fresh and frozen seafood and specialty grocery items. With more than 25 locations in USA, the business has expanded to North America with 5 divisions including Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Montreal and Quebec City.
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as an Account Receivable clerk. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent numerical skills, and have a keen eye for accuracy, we want to hear from you!
Essential Functions
- Reconcile accounts receivable (AR) ledgers, investigated discrepancies, and resolved account issues in a timely manner.
- Accurately process and reconcile payments from multiple sources, including credit cards, e-transfers, EFTs, cheques, and cash, ensuring all accounts remain up to date.
- Manage timely and accurate invoicing, follow up on overdue accounts, and collaborate with sales teams to resolve collection challenges.
- Led regular AR meetings with the sales team to review outstanding balances, support customer follow-ups, and develop collection strategies.
- Monitor aged receivables (60+ days) and ensure COD payments with targets.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolved billing or payment-related issues.
- Prepare and analyze reports on collections, payment trends, and account aging to support decision-making.
- Support the implementation and enforcement of standardized AR policies and procedures.
- Process daily credit card transactions.
- Handle bank deposits and ensured accurate recording of funds.
- Assist with month-end close activities and supported year-end audit processes.
- Any other accounting related tasks assigned.
Qualifications
- Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese or Korean will consider an asset
- 2-3 Account Receivables/ collection experience is preferred
- Demonstrates strong ownership and accountability
- Knowledge of accounting software, MS office suite
- Knowledge of bookkeeping will consider an asset
- Excellent customer service
- Excellent business negotiation skill
- General computer skills
Hours
- Full time - 40 hours a week
- Monday to Friday
- Starts from 7:30 AM and ends at 4:00 PM
