Clinical Information Systems Consultant
Project Duration: Until January 31, 2027
Remote work with travel once a month (Travel once a month for up to three consecutive days (two nights); expenses covered by the client)
Context:
Ideally, we are looking for a candidate with at least some experience in a hospital setting, including experience with clinical IT projects, to join the Inpatient Clinical Systems team working on the Epic ASAP (emergency) and STORK (obstetrics) modules.
- Three (3) or more years of experience in business analysis (process analysis or review).
- (1) or more years of experience in the field of clinical information systems
- (5) or more years of experience in their area of expertise (clinical informatics)
- Experience participating in or leading workshops and presenting, editing, and producing deliverables
- Ability to easily communicate relevant information in French, both orally and in writing.
The clinical expert is responsible for analyzing business needs, identifying the technological solutions required for clinical IT projects, integrating these technologies with existing systems, and managing the implementation activities. The projects covered can be of various types, including projects aimed at enhancing existing clinical information systems, introducing new systems to computerize clinical functions, implementing information systems required for the operation of specialized medical equipment, etc.
Specific Responsibilities
- Leads the application project activities
- Governs module activities, priorities, and task interdependencies
- Oversees the progress of tasks within their module for the activities
- Liaises between business needs and the staff responsible for implementing the solution
- Maintains scope and ensures that quality objectives are met
- Updates the tasks of the activities under their governance in the project management tool
- Identifies risks and issues related to the activities under their governance and escalates them to the cross-functional project manager
- Coordinates teams and working groups
- Coordinates the tasks of activities associated with their module, according to the priorities defined for the overall project
- Coordinates working groups and teams
- Guides the solution design, system build and testing, and analyzes other technical issues related to the software
- Works with vendor representatives, local experts, and local implementation teams to ensure that the system meets requirements business.
Pay: $75.00-$85.00 per hour
