Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Duties
- Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications
- Cook a variety of dishes with consistency and attention to presentation
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and assembling ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all food items
- Support the kitchen team during busy service hours by efficiently managing multiple tasks
- Ensure all food served meets quality standards and customer expectations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service
Requirements
- Previous experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service setting is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary fundamentals
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and evenings as needed
- Kitchen experience or restaurant experience is highly desirable but not mandatory for entry-level candidates willing to learn
