Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Math/Science Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and science, along with experience working with high school students. This role offers an opportunity to inspire students, foster a love for learning, and contribute to their academic success. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, classroom management abilities, and a commitment to student development. Prior experience in tutoring, special education, or computer science is a plus.
Duties
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans in math and science subjects aligned with curriculum standards
- Assess student progress through tests, assignments, and classroom participation
- Provide individualized support and tutoring to students needing extra help
- Incorporate technology and computer skills into lessons to enhance learning experiences
- Manage classroom behavior to create a positive learning environment
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student achievement
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and special education needs
- Prepare students for standardized tests and academic competitions when applicable
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports
Experience
- Prior classroom teaching experience at the high school level is preferred
- Experience working with children and understanding developmental needs
- Background in tutoring or providing additional academic support is advantageous
- Knowledge of math and science subjects, including computer science concepts
- Familiarity with special education strategies to support diverse learners
- Strong computer skills for integrating educational technology into lessons
- Experience in curriculum development or instructional design is a plus
Pay: $75,473.00-$119,235.00 per year
