About Bloom Academy
Bloom Academy is a growing online learning community offering engaging tutoring and enrichment classes for kids and teens. We partner with passionate, specialized instructors who help students build confidence, sharpen creative and technical skills, and develop genuine curiosity in a warm, supportive environment.
Our teachers are the heart of what we do — and we're looking for the next great one to join us.
The Opportunity
We're hiring an engaging Unreal Engine Instructor to teach live online classes for kids and teens. This role is all about game development and real-time 3D creation in Unreal Engine — helping young creators design worlds, build interactive experiences, and bring their ideas to life in one of the most powerful engines in the industry.
We're looking for an instructor who can meet students wherever they are — whether that's a beginner opening Unreal for the first time, a teen building their first playable level, or an ambitious young developer working toward a more complete project.
What You'll Do
- Teach live, interactive online Unreal Engine lessons for kids and teens
- Guide students through the fundamentals of the Unreal Engine interface, tools, and workflow
- Teach level design, 3D environments, lighting, and building interactive scenes
- Introduce gameplay logic and visual scripting with Blueprints in an age-appropriate way
- Help students plan and build their own game projects from concept to playable result
- Support both beginners and more advanced students with clear, step-by-step guidance
- Teach one-on-one lessons and/or small-group classes of approximately 2–3 students
- Create a positive, structured, and encouraging virtual classroom
- Adapt lessons to each student's level, interests, and creative goals
- Provide thoughtful feedback that helps students build confidence and technical skill
What We're Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience with Unreal Engine, including level design and Blueprints
- The ability to teach technical concepts in a clear, approachable, age-appropriate way
- Experience teaching, tutoring, coaching, or mentoring children and/or teens
- A knack for keeping young creators motivated and excited about building
- Confident and engaging on camera
- Clear, warm communicator
- Reliable, organized, and professional
- Comfortable supporting beginners who are new to game development
- A relevant degree or training in game development, computer science, design, or a related field is a plus
- Experience creating project-based lessons or curriculum is a plus

Application question(s):
- Do you have experience teaching or mentoring children or teens? Please describe.
- What experience do you have with Unreal Engine, and with teaching it? Please be specific about the age groups you've worked with and the kinds of projects you've helped students build.
- Do you also teach any other programs or platforms, such as Scratch, Roblox, Minecraft, or Unity? If so, please tell us which ones and your level of experience with each.
- Are you comfortable teaching small-group classes of approximately 2–4 students, as well as one-on-one sessions?
- Please give us your specific weekly availability — actual days and time blocks. For example: "Mondays and Wednesdays 3–7pm, Saturdays 9am–1pm."
