General Description
Reporting to the Team Lead, Infrastructure Operations, the Infrastructure and Housing Administrator is primarily responsible for coordinating and administering Lheidli T’enneh First Nation’s housing programs, housing-related services, and infrastructure operations.
The position provides hands on centralized administration for housing stock, tenant services, occupancy records, housing application management, inspections, utilities, service requests, reporting, budgeting support, and communication with community members, internal departments, service providers, and external agencies.
The coordinator is expected to ensure that housing and infrastructure services are administered in an organized, timely, transparent, and accountable manner while supporting the long-term sustainability of LTFN housing and community infrastructure.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong administrative, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills and will provide professional and respectful service to Lheidli T’enneh members and residents.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage/Perform the day-to-day administration and management of LTFN housing programs, residential properties, and related services.
· Maintain accurate and current housing records, including tenant files, housing applications, eligibility documentation, waitlists, occupancy information, unit assignments, agreements, inspection records, correspondence, and other related documentation.
· Administer housing applications, maintain and update the housing waitlist, and track vacancies, housing availability, occupancy status, and unit assignments in accordance with approved policies and procedures.
· Coordinate move-in, move-out, transfer, and occupancy processes, including required inspections, documentation, and follow-up actions.
· Administer rental, occupancy, and other housing-related agreements and assist with monitoring rental accounts and related financial records in coordination with the Finance Department.
· Receive and respond to housing-related inquiries, concerns, and service requests from members and residents and ensure appropriate follow-up or referral.
· Coordinate communication among residents, management, internal departments, and external service providers regarding housing-related matters.
· Monitor outstanding housing issues, inspection findings, recurring concerns, and required corrective actions, and escalate significant matters to management as appropriate.
· Prepare housing-related reports, statistics, summaries, and recommendations concerning applications, waitlists, occupancy, vacancies, housing availability, and other operational matters.
· Support the implementation, review, and continuous improvement of housing policies, procedures, forms, tracking systems, and administrative processes.
· Assist management with annual and long-term housing planning, priority setting, community housing initiatives, and future housing requirements.
· Support housing-related funding applications, reporting, and documentation requirements, including coordination with external funding agencies where required.
· Collaborate with Engineering & Projects, Finance, Lands, and other LTFN departments where housing matters require technical, financial, land-related, or administrative input.
· Ensure all housing and tenant information is maintained securely and confidentially in accordance with LTFN policies and records-management requirements.
· Support/Assist infrastructure and utility-related services.
· Maintain records related to assigned infrastructure services.
· Any other related delegated work.
Education and Experience
The preferred candidate will possess:
- Bachelor or diploma in Engineering, Property Management, Business Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
- Relevant experience in infrastructure management, housing administration, property management, utilities administration, community services, public administration, or a related environment.
- Experience maintaining confidential records and administrative files.
- Experience communicating with residents, community members, service providers, and external agencies.
- Experience preparing reports, correspondence, and administrative documentation.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- A valid Class 5 British Columbia Driver’s Licence or ability to obtain one within an agreed period.
Preference may be given to candidates with:
- Experience working with a First Nation or Indigenous organization.
- Experience administering First Nation housing programs.
- Knowledge of federal and/or provincial housing and infrastructure programs.
- Experience with housing databases, property-management systems, or similar administrative systems.
- Knowledge of utility billing, service coordination, or community infrastructure administration.
- Experience supporting funding applications and government reporting.

Working Conditions
The position is primarily office-based but will require regular travel to LTFN housing, community facilities, and other locations.
The employee may be required to:
- Attend meetings with residents, staff, management, service providers, and government representatives.
- Visit housing units and community locations as required.
- Work occasional extended hours to address urgent housing or utility-related matters.
- Travel between LTFN offices and reserve locations.

Lheidli T’enneh offers full benefit package after three (03) months which includes extended health, dental insurance, disability, life insurance. On top of salary and vacation pay, we also provide 18 days of paid elective days in a calendar year, two (02) weeks of paid additional vacation during Christmas, % matching pension plan, mileage allowance/use of company vehicle for work purposes etc.
