The Role
As an Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will lead and support our Accounts Payable team, oversee the day-to-day accounts payable operations, and manage vendor payment schedules.
This is a hybrid role, working a minimum of 3 days per week in our Brampton office.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable team
- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, and payment requests
- Manage vendor payment schedules (electronic payments, cheques, wire transfers) and generate vendor payment files
- Monitor AP aging and proactively resolve outstanding balances and payment issues
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies quickly and professionally
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Investigate and resolve variances, payment discrepancies, and coding issues
- Support fraud prevention initiatives and monitor unusual transactions
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to audit requests

Skills & Experiences
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
- 5-8 years of progressive experience in accounts payable, including demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, and coaching a team
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and accounting principles
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and experienced with ERP and AP automation platforms
- Understanding of tax regulations, invoice compliance requirements, and vendor payment processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with high attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with customer-service mindset

Compensation
$57,654 - 72,067 CAD per year
The compensation range listed reflects the expected compensation for the role. Actual compensation will be determined based on individual skills and experience.
