Duties & Responsibilities:
- Execute daily terminal operations including loading and unloading of railcars, trucks.
- Perform tank line-ups, gauging, temperature verification, and documentation.
- Perform basic maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on pumps, meters, and heating systems.
- Operate valves, pumps, meters, and associated systems to control product flow.
- Connect/disconnect hoses and mechanical loading arms safely and efficiently.
- Monitor gauges and adjust flow rates to ensure safe and accurate transfers.
- Conduct railcar movements within the yard and operate equipment such as Trackmobile.
- Operate terminal equipment such as loaders, snow removal equipment, and mobile rail equipment.
- Handle cargo safely (rail cars, bulk materials, hazardous goods).
- Follow safety protocols for lifting, securing loads, and preventing accidents.
- Inspect shipments for damage and ensure proper documentation.
- Follows and complies with all government legislation and company policies & procedures.
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 1-2 years experience in a similar role. (Training available)
- Ontario’s driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
- TSSA Petroleum Mechanic certification (or willingness to obtain).
- CROR or rail operation qualifications are considered an asset.
- Valid First Aid certification is considered an asset.
- Must be able to pass all required training, background check, and drug & alcohol testing.
- Safety-focused attitude with experience working in an industrial setting.
- Sound problem-solving and troubleshooting capability.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Knowledge of logistics and warehouse operations.
- Ability to read shipping manifests and labels.
- Willingness to work in various outdoor environments.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (heavy lifting, bending, and standing for long periods of time).
Working and Additional Expectations:
- Field-based role within an industrial terminal environment.
- Frequent physical activity includes climbing, lifting, and working at heights.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and hazardous materials.
- Shift work including nights, weekends, and on-call requirements.
- Actively contributes to a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Maintain readiness to respond to operational and emergency situations.
- Support a 24/7 operational environment with flexibility as required.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance terminal performance.

The base salary range considers experience, education, and training. It is not typical for salaries to be offered near the top of the range.
