Job Responsibilities:
· Work under the supervision of the Head Pastry Chef.
· Assist in morning bake-off and filling of pastry case, production rest of day (6:00am-2:30pm Tues-Sat).
· Work independently to prepare and execute a variety of recipes for cakes, pastries, laminated doughs, breads, tarts, and confections.
· Must be able to execute recipes consistently according to the recipes and standards in terms of taste and appearance.
· Must demonstrate safe food handling and keep food preparation areas clean. Take part in daily kitchen cleaning at the end of work shift.
· Responsible for operating and monitoring the proper functioning of equipment such as convection ovens, dough mixers, proofer, dough sheeter, and cooler/freezer.
Requirements:
· Eligible to work in Canada
· Minimum 2 year working experience in similar capacity
· Reliable, professional, high motivated, efficient, and team-oriented
· Must work in a clean and organized manner
· Passion to learn and continuously improve
· Personal appearance should reflect professional attitude
Education:
· Completion of culinary training in baking and pastry
· Foodsafe Level 1
