Overview:
We are seeking an experienced reliable AZ Float Driver to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for transporting heavy equipment and materials in a safe and timely manner.
Duties:
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods to various locations
- Must demonstrate ability to disconnect/reconnect low-boy float & tractor using "Pup" engine
- Load and unload cargo following safety protocols
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
- Maintain accurate driving logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid AZ driver's license with a clean driving record. The ability to operate both Manual & Automatic transmission trucks is a requirement.
- Must submit CVOR abstract (no older than 30 days) along with application for position.
- Must provide proven experience as a Float Driver/Operator.
- Knowledge of basic repair and maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts, telehandlers, scissor lifts, double drum rollers, construction equipment and operate heavy equipment is advantageous.
- Preference will be given to someone who lives local to Ajax Ontario (Hwy 401 & Brock Rd.)
- Must be willing to accept some Saturday work.
