Bubbly Cup is a locally owned upcoming café startup, offering coffee, bubble tea, sweet treats and light snacks in a fine, cozy spot located in Saint John Uptown.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Food Service Supervisor to lead our team at a vibrant new cafe serving coffee, bubble tea, and sweet treats. The ideal candidate will have a background in a similar environment, strong leadership skills, baking expertise, and the flexibility to work rotating shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Café Manager and assistant manager in daily operations, including staff management, inventory control, and quality assurance.
- Train, supervise, and motivate staff to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Monitor sales and assist in achieving financial targets through effective cost control and inventory management.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues to enhance their experience.
- Contribute to the development of new menu items and promotional activities.
- Assist in menu planning, preparation and baking
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, in a supervisory role.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership abilities with a focus on team development and motivation.
- Knowledge of operational procedures and financial management in a café environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A passion for coffee and café culture.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Food safety certificate is required.
