Duties
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment and farm machinery, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Perform mechanical repairs and routine maintenance on equipment as needed.
- Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops, utilizing power tools and hand tools effectively.
- Irrigate fields and gardens, ensuring proper water distribution for optimal crop growth.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks as required, including moving supplies and equipment around the farm.
- Utilize basic math skills to measure areas for planting and calculate necessary inputs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, tools, and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve farm goals and enhance productivity.
Requirements
- Experience in heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Familiarity with farm machinery and mechanical knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the day.
- Knowledge of irrigation techniques and gardening practices is beneficial.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating needs on the farm.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
