Job Description
Unit Summary
The Hamilton Regional Laboratory Medicine Program (HRLMP) is a collaborative program funded and operated jointly by Hamilton Health Sciences and St. Joseph's Hospital. The Program is committed to change and innovation through education service and research to bring the highest quality science into healthcare for the benefit of the community and to participate in the clinical application and interpretation of the science.
Qualifications
- Post graduate diploma in Medical Laboratory
- CAMPLR (formerly CSMLS) certificate
- CMLTO registration
- Minimum of 3 years current experience in all aspects of Histology
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills are essential
- Practical Exam may be part of the interview process
Responsibilities
Some duties and responsibilities include:
- Embedding cutting (microtomy) staining specials frozen section
- Assisting in gross room
- Ability to troubleshoot stains tissue processor etc.
