Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise restaurant staff during your shift, including cooks, servers, and cashiers, ensuring smooth operations and high team morale
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to meet quality standards and food safety regulations
- Manage the POS (Point of Sale) system for accurate order processing and cash handling procedures
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices are followed in compliance with health regulations
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure guests leave satisfied with their experience
- Assist with interviewing and onboarding new team members to build a strong, capable workforce
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies as needed, and maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant
Qualifications
- Proven supervising or team management experience in a food service or restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros or similar platforms for order processing and cash handling
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to lead by example in food safety practices and food handling procedures
- Familiarity with restaurant management principles and hospitality standards
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as server, barista, or kitchen staff is highly desirable
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate a diverse team and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
