Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Labourer to join our dynamic team. In this hands-on role, you will assist with a variety of construction tasks, supporting skilled tradespeople and ensuring that projects progress smoothly and efficiently. Your energy and attention to detail will contribute directly to the successful completion of construction projects across diverse settings. Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris and setting up safety barriers
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, and fastening materials
- Support carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and other tradespeople with their work
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to aid in project execution
- Install drywall, flooring, tiles, and perform painting or caulking as needed
- Aid in restoration projects by removing old materials and preparing surfaces for new finishes
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment at all times
Requirements
- Prior construction experience or relevant training preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, saws, and drills
- Basic understanding of construction processes including blueprint reading and schematics interpretation
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods
- Knowledge of drywall installation, caulking, flooring installation, tile laying, plumbing basics, welding, and painting is a plus
- Strong teamwork skills with excellent communication abilities
- Commitment to safety standards and quality workmanship
