Duties
- Thoroughly wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines or manual cleaning methods
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing stations and storage areas to promote safety and efficiency
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and prep work under supervision
- Support the kitchen team by ensuring all items are sanitized, properly stored, and ready for use in food service or cooking activities
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- Help with waste disposal and recycling processes to maintain a clean working environment
- Collaborate with restaurant or hotel staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service times
Experience
- 1 year of prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or food service setting is required
- Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and food handling practices is advantageous
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as dishwashers or food prep tools is a plus
- Strong attention to detail to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety
