Abrams Towing is seeking a reliable and professional Call Taker to join our team. This full-time position is ideal for someone who communicates clearly, stays organized in a fast-paced environment, and provides excellent customer service.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally.
- Gather accurate information about customers, vehicles, locations, and requested services.
- Enter service-call information into the dispatch system.
- Provide customers with clear information regarding services, estimated arrival times, and applicable procedures.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, drivers, customers, police services, auto clubs, and other business partners.
- Monitor active calls and provide customers with updates when required.
- Prioritize urgent requests and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Maintain accurate and complete call records.
- Protect confidential customer and company information.
- Assist with other call-centre and administrative duties as required.
Qualifications
- Previous call-centre, customer-service, dispatch, or towing-industry experience is an asset.
- Strong verbal communication and active-listening skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and data-entry accuracy.
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful or urgent situations.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Dependable and punctual, with consistent attendance.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
