Summary
The Working Foreman leads a Construction Team in the day-to-day onsite tasks. The Working Foreman is expected to lead and supervise a team of up to 5 Skilled Workers and 5 Trainees with the support of their lead hand. The Working Foreman may also be paired with Trainees when on-site.

Requirements
- Experience in the field of residential construction (5 years experience required)
- Experience as a Lead Hand in residential construction (1-2 years minimum)
- Valid G License and satisfactory driving record
- Experience leading/coaching/training an asset
Responsibilities
People Development
- Leads a team of Lead Hands, Labourers and Trainees to complete high-quality and efficient work on assigned construction projects.
- Enforce the Health & Safety policies
- Communicate effectively with all team members
Project Management
- Completes construction jobs as assigned by the General Supervisor/Construction Manager.
- Provides timely and accurate communication to the General Supervisor regarding the status of the job; completes daily logs/reports.
- Ensures all materials, tools, PPE and equipment required to complete a job is on site each day - prepare and submit material lists in advance
- Unlocks and locks work sites
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulations
- Communicate any Health & Safety concerns/opportunities for improvement to Supervisor
Mission
- Ensures that both the skilled labour and trainee teams are getting the best possible experience onsite;
- Actively enforces a physical and psychologically safe workplace; ensures that all elements of the Health and Safety program are implemented and reinforced by the each worker on their assigned job site
Working Conditions and Equipment Required
- Able to drive safely and work in all weather conditions indoors and outdoors
- Able to lift and move heavy materials and equipment over 50lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- 40 Hour Work Week - Occasional hours outside schedule may be required
- Must have basic hand tools, steel toed shoes, hard hat and a smartphone
- Must have a valid Class G Ontario drivers license
