We are established family dental practice committed to providing high-quality dental care in a welcoming and professional environment. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and motivated two individuals (one dental receptionist and one certified dental assistant).
Responsibilities
Reception Duties
- Welcome and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
- Answer telephone calls, emails, and patient inquiries.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental practice management software.
- Process billing, insurance claims, and patient payments.
- Coordinate treatment schedules and recall appointments.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Dental Assistant Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms before and after patient appointments.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and dental procedures.
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment according to infection control standards.
- Take and develop dental radiographs.
- Prepare dental materials and instruments required for procedures.
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients.
- Monitor inventory and restock clinical supplies.
- Follow all provincial infection prevention and workplace safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant or eligible to work as a Dental Assistant in British Columbia.
- Registration with the British Columbia College of Oral Health Professionals (BCCOHP).
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Previous experience in a dental clinic is preferred (Minimum 1 year).
- Experience using dental software such as ClearDent, Dentrix, Tracker, or similar is an asset.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
