The Role:
The Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with the Manager of Financial Planning/Analysis to support financial planning, forecasting, and analysis. This role requires an individual who is proactive, ambitious, and eager to develop a broad understanding of the business and its key performance indicators (KPIs). The successful candidate will play a vital role in driving quantitative insights to support business decisions and identifying opportunities for process improvements, cost savings and value generation.
This position is being added to our organizational structure and offers the opportunity to help shape processes and contribute to the role's development.
Salary range = $65,000 - $75,000.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating and maintaining financial models, including product pricing, costing, capital investment, technology projects, and headcount planning.
- Assist in the preparation of financial presentations and reports for senior management, highlighting key findings and insights.
- Provide financial analysis support to the sales leader and function, including database analysis and management.
- Support in the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes, collaborating with department heads and key contributors.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements in quarterly forecast procedures.
- Assist in handling the commission program for the sales team.
- Contribute to month-end and quarterly forecast report preparation and other key reporting to the company's leadership.
- Support value generation initiatives, including vendor request for proposal (RFP) and related analyses.
- Assist in writing business cases by translating business and technology concepts into financial terms and requirements.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses for business partners and the management team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or business administration.
- Have a strong willingness to learn new industry and analysis techniques.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of progressive responsibility in the manufacturing industry, in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus.
- Proficient working with databases, knowing Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio is a plus.
- Ability to design, write, and execute SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis is a plus.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to translate business and technology ideas into financial terms.
- Ability to analyze complex business inputs and drivers, working with ambiguity and multiple stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure during peak periods.
- Experience with statistical modeling techniques and data analysis.
- Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Discretion in handling confidential financial and business information.
