Job Overview
We are seeking (310T) a skilled and reliable Truck and trailer Mechanic certified or uncertified to join our maintenance team. This role involves repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy-duty trucks and trailers and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with automotive repair, and familiarity with heavy equipment operation. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks, including brake systems, and electrical components.
- Repair or replace faulty parts using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized machinery
- Conduct inspections of heavy equipment such as trucks and trailers to identify potential problems
- Operate heavy equipment safely during repairs or testing procedures when necessary
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations
- Assist with assembly or installation of new equipment or parts as needed
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues
Skills
- Proven experience in automotive repair and heavy equipment maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including HVAC, electrical wiring, hydraulics, and schematics interpretation
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a maintenance environment
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and assembly processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong customer service orientation when interacting with team members
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings
