Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Installer specializing in Roofing and Sheet Metal to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems and sheet metal components on various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that each project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Duties
- Install roofing materials including metal panels, shingles, and membranes according to project specifications and safety guidelines
- Fabricate and shape sheet metal components using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to fit specific architectural requirements
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation plans
- Perform heavy lifting of materials, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures at all times
- Conduct repairs and restoration work on existing roofing systems or sheet metal structures as needed
- Use caulking, trim carpentry, masonry, welding, and other related skills to complete detailed finishing work
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other trades such as plumbing or framing carpentry to ensure seamless project execution
Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes for roofing projects
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction site equipment
- Extensive experience in roofing installation, repair, and maintenance techniques
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Skilled in fabrication techniques including metal stud framing and tile laying
- Familiarity with building codes related to roofing, stucco, masonry, and restoration work
- Experience with heavy lifting tasks safely handling materials such as metal sheets or concrete forms
- Knowledge of welding techniques for sheet metal fabrication
- Ability to perform detailed caulking, trim carpentry, plumbing integration, and masonry work as required
- Prior handyman experience or remodeling background is a plus
