Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, and flexible Level 2 or Level 3 Early Childhood Educator to join our new childcare center team in a primary role within our Infant Room. This is an immediate start position. The ideal candidate must have proven experience caring for infants, creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment that fosters their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong classroom management, and a deep passion for early childhood education. The educator will collaborate with colleagues, communicate effectively with parents, and implement age appropriate curricula to support each child's growth. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional who is passionate about high-quality early learning, committed to building meaningful relationships with families, and interested in long-term growth within a supportive environment.

Schedule Requirements
Shift Length: 6 to 8 hours per day (depending on center daily enrollment and needs).
Applicants must be available to work flexible shifts anytime between 7:00 AM – 5:45 PM, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Guide the infant room daily operations, ensuring a warm, responsive, and safe environment for our youngest learners.
- Apply knowledge of the FLIGHT framework and Emergent Curriculum in daily practice
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages learning and exploration
- Observe, document, and support children’s learning and development
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behaviours, and classroom experiences
- Uphold licensing, health and safety standards within environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Required: Valid Alberta Child Care Educator Certification (Level 2 or Level 3)
- Required: Proven, solid experience working specifically with infants in a licensed ECE or childcare setting
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Experience with curriculum planning and programming
- Strong understanding of FLIGHT and Emergent Curriculum approaches
- Experience working with children with disabilities or in special education is a plus
- Strong communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal—are essential
- Ability to operate basic iPad applications related to lesson planning and record keeping
- Excellent organizational skills and time management to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
- Writing skills necessary for documentation and communication with parents and staff
- Current valid First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain)
