Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will operate and program CNC machines, including CNC lathes and milling machines, to produce high-quality precision components. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in CAD and CNC programming, and experience with various manufacturing tools and techniques. The CNC Machinist will ensure that production meets quality standards while adhering to safety protocols and efficient workflow processes.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and program CNC machines such as CNC milling machines and CNC lathes using Fanuc, Mazak and Fagor controls.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to produce precise parts.
- Perform CNC programming adjustments to optimize machining processes.
- Use hand tools, calipers, and other measurement devices for quality control and inspection.
- Maintain machine calibration and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot machine issues related to CNC programming or mechanical faults, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Operate auxiliary equipment such as press brake machines, welding tools, forklifts, and packaging machinery as needed.
- Follow safety procedures, including proper handling of materials with forklift or hand tools, and adhere to quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
- Assist in assembly and packaging of finished products for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CNC programming languages and software such as CAD, SolidWorks, or related tools.
- Knowledge of Fanuc controls and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and apply mechanical knowledge effectively.
- Experience with welding, press brake machines, forklift operation, and assembly is a plus.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, quality control procedures, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Familiarity with hand tools, calipers, basic math skills, and warehouse experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with problem-solving skills necessary for troubleshooting equipment issues. Pay: $22.00-$38.00 per hour
