KDR Homes is a custom home builder serving Winnipeg, MB and surrounding communities. We are currently looking to add a Handy-Man to our Service Team. This position would work with the Service Co-Ordinator to complete small deficiencies left after a client takes possession and investigate warranty claims within the first year after possession.
The Ideal candidate for this position will have a good working knowledge of residential construction and be able to carry out many different aspects of the home building process, from framing to finishing work.
Responsibilities
- Complete deficiency items noted during walk throughs – ie: installing door hardware (handles/locks, door stops, pulls etc), hanging doors, installing trims, deliver and install window screens etc.
- Complete reviews of warranty claims for validity – meet with client, inspect issue, make notes, take pictures/video, report back to Service Co-Ordinator.
- During times when there are less service calls you will be assigned to work with one of our other production staff.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Handy-man or Carpenter (minimum 5 years)
- Own Vehicle (You will be provided a vehicle allowance and fuel card)
- Own Hand tools/Tool pouch - (hammer, tape measure, drill set, etc) Larger or specialty tools will be provided by KDR.
- Friendly attitude and good communication – you are a representative of KDR Homes and will be speaking with and meeting clients.
