Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our team. The majority of the work is suspension replacement and upgrades, and light duty trailer repair. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and trailers. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to details. and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Replace steering and suspension components on a light and heavy duty trucks
- Install and maintain aftermarket suspension lift and lowering kits
- Perform routine maintenance on light duty trailers (bearings, brakes, wiring)
- Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble components
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems before breakdowns occur
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe for all personnel
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a heavy duty or light duty mechanic. Red seal is a benefit but not required
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for repair and maintenance tasks
- Oxy acetylene torch familiarity is necessary. Welding skills are a benefit.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks safely
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00-$40.00 per hour
