You’ll serve as a strategic advisor to clients and internal teams to secure purchasing decisions for major projects. You’ll play a key role in cost control, risk management and schedule adherence within a multidisciplinary and international setting.

Strategic and advisory role
- Establish and recommend procurement strategies tailored to project and client requirements
- Analyze commercial, contractual and logistical risks and propose mitigation measures
- Serve as the primary procurement advisor to clients
Ensure procurement strategies align with project and client objectives

Governance, leadership and continuous improvement
- Lead the end-to-end procurement process
- Develop and optimize procurement standards, procedures and tools
- Ensure compliance, traceability and quality of contractual documents
- Support, guide and coach team members in resolving complex challenges
Contribute to the continuous improvement of practices and systems

Execution and operational management
- Oversee requests for proposals, commercial evaluations and contract negotiations
- Manage strategic and critical supplier relationships
- Prepare award recommendations and obtain required approvals
- Support project teams with any supplier and contractual issues
- Help manage claims and contractual disputes

Summary of certifications and job requirements
- Relevant university or technical education (engineering, administration, logistics or supply chain)
- At least 15 years of relevant experience in project procurement
- Experience in heavy industry, mining and metals and/or energy sectors
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
- Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
- Asset: experience with international project procurement
- Asset: experience with logistics and transportation
