MCG Careers, Inc. is seeking a Full-time Centre Coordinator on behalf of our employer partner (in the Winning Edge-Workplace Training Program), a leading tutoring centre dedicated to helping students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and achieve meaningful results. They provide personalized, curriculum-aligned learning programs in mathematics, science, English, French, and other subjects through both in-centre and online instruction. As a successful Centre Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to manage day-to-day operations, provide clients with a high level of quality and service, ensuring proper delivery of the curriculum and helping maintain the cleanliness of the learning centre.
Qualifications of a successful of Centre Coordinator include the following traits:
- An ability to provide quality service that exceeds client expectations
- Experience working with children is an asset
- Excellent verbal communication and persuasive skills, and the ability to build relationships
- Effective problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to multi-task
- A strong interest in students of all ages and the desire to help all students succeed
- Professional, enthusiastic, flexible and energetic
- Ability to lead a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with Google Workspace and/or a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool would be considered an asset.
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrate and uphold staff morale and ensure the professional appearance of the centre.
- Support teachers during daily classes to ensure a high-quality of service is maintained.
- Assist in the scheduling of teachers.
- Provide oversight to staff related to all educational policies and procedures.
- Keep clients, parents and guardians informed on program progress and conference with them on a structured basis.
- Create a positive learning environment in the centre for staff, students, parents, and guardians during all phases of the instructional program.
- Ensure cleanliness of the centre is maintained (daily/weekly cleaning tasks to be performed).
- Open and close the centre.
Winning Edge – Workplace Training Program Requirements
To qualify for this opportunity through the Winning Edge Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen.
- Must be unemployed at the time of intake.
- Ready, willing, and able to work full-time (up to 40 hours/week).
- Not a current student or enrolled in any program or school.
