IronCreek Energy Services is currently seeking Experienced Excavator Operators for various locations across Western Canada, including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba .
Reporting to the Operation, General Manager or their delegate, the person in the Excavator Operator role is responsible for operating, inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting Excavators as part of the IronCreek Energy Services Inc. team.
This is a technical and detail-oriented position that will require the operator to adapt to the needs of our client. The applicant needs to have a mechanical aptitude, be an effective problem solver, have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, with a solid focus on customer service. This individual will thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Operate and Maintain Cuttings Management System including operation of CAT/Deere Track Hoe
Maintenance and Daily Upkeep of Unit including Oil changes, Greasing and all other servicing
Operate Track Hoe in a Safe and Efficient manner around the rig location or other locations
Operate Track Hoe in accordance with IronCreek’s Corporate Safety Policy, Practices and Procedures as per HS&E Manual
Perform and Document Daily/Weekly Inspections as per Cuttings Manual (Provided), including the following:
Daily Hoe Inspection (Daily)
Cuttings Tracking (Daily)
Maintenance (Weekly)
Safety Meeting/Tool Box Talk (Weekly)
Job Set Up (Beginning and End of Well)
Hazard Report (Minimum One Per Week)
Job Safety Analysis (As Required)
Incident Reports (As Needed)
Daily BBS (Behavior Based Safety) Card Submission
Rig-site Operations
Perform all Cuttings Management Actions
Organize Equipment and Material Onsite
Support Rig Crews (organize pipe, help with protectors, strapping pipe etc.)
Maintain Lease Conditions
Conduct routine service to machine/equipment
Tracks shoveled every shift
No smoking allowed in machines

Shifts are normally 20 on and 10 off 12 hour days.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must be dependable and reliable and health and safety conscious
Able to read and follow directions and/or procedures
Able to work as a team in a fast-paced environment
Excavator operation experience
Forklift experience
Mechanical aptitude and good dexterity
Excellent organizational skills
Expertise with hand tools, power tools and mechanically inclined
Basic Microsoft Office computers skills could be an asset
Education, Training, and Experience
Minimum 2 years experience operating an Excavator.
Some rig experience ideal.
Maintain all Safety Tickets as required including:
H2S Alive (Required)
WHIMIS (Required, provided by IC)
TDG (Required provided by IC)
First Aid Level C CPR/AED (Required)
Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
Bear Awareness
Basic computer skills may be required
Special Conditions of Employment
Must be able to lift/move a minimum of 50lb.
Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract and reliable mode of transportation
Successful pre-access / pre-employment Drug and alcohol test is required
Travel will be required.
Position Details
PAY: $33 – $45 an hour depending on experience +Living out Allowance,
JOB TYPE: Full-time – Seasonal
SHIFTS: 12-hour Shifts
SCHEDULE: 20on / 10off
