Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and licensed Mechanic to join our dynamic Landscaping and Snow Removal Company. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a diverse fleet of landscaping and snow removal equipment, including trucks, loaders, mowers, and specialized machinery. Your expertise will ensure our equipment operates at peak performance, enabling us to deliver exceptional service regardless of weather conditions. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on landscaping and snow removal equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, electrical testing, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
- Conduct repairs involving welding, electrical work, and the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting as needed.
- Maintain detailed service logs, repair records, and schematics documentation for all equipment serviced.
- Collaborate with team members to schedule repairs that minimize downtime during peak seasons.
- Assist with sales of parts or equipment when necessary, providing excellent customer service to internal teams or external clients.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously during all repair activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience repairing heavy machinery such as loaders, excavators, or similar equipment.
- Proficiency in welding techniques and electrical systems troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with schematics, automotive repair principles, and electrical wiring diagrams.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment safely and effectively.
- Previous mechanic experience in outdoor equipment or automotive repair is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Caterpillar machinery or similar brands is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with team members or clients regarding repairs or parts inquiries.
