Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver/Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the receipt, storage, and shipment of goods, ensuring accurate order fulfillment and smooth warehouse operations. Your expertise with forklift operation, warehouse management systems, and shipping & receiving processes will help us maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, and productivity. Duties
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the facility
- Receive incoming shipments by verifying quantities and inspecting for damages; accurately process inbound deliveries using warehouse management systems (WMS) and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) software
- Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting products through order picking and order fulfillment procedures; package items securely for delivery
- Maintain accurate shipping & receiving records within systems such as AS400 or similar platforms
- Conduct inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock replenishment to ensure optimal warehouse distribution and stock accuracy
- Assist with order picking using order pickers or other equipment to fulfill customer orders efficiently, including e-commerce orders
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during load & unload activities and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, or related roles with a focus on warehouse distribution
- Valid forklift certification with experience operating reach trucks and other material handling equipment
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, MRP software, and inventory control processes
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and order processing
- Strong understanding of order picking techniques and packaging standards for various products
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Physical ability to lift heavy items regularly and stand for extended periods during shift
