Position Overview
The Project Manager – Warehousing & Preservation is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all warehousing, materials management, and equipment preservation activities on the Air Products site. The role ensures materials, equipment, and components are properly received, inspected, stored, preserved, tracked, and issued in accordance with project specifications, client requirements, and industry standards.
Duties
· Development and implement warehousing and preservation strategies for project materials and equipment.
· Insure warehouse layouts, storage systems, and inventory tracking processes
· Coordinate mobilization and setup of warehouse facilities including racking, laydown areas, and preservation stations.
· Ensure alignment with project schedules, construction sequences, and client delivery requirements.
· Support project startup, commissioning, and handover activities related to materials management.
· Oversee receiving, inspection, and documentation of incoming materials and equipment
· Ensure materials are stored according to manufacturer and project specifications (the Matrix).
· Oversee the accurate inventory control systems and materials tracking logs.
· Oversee the Coordination of material issuance to construction teams and contractors.
· Ensure proper labeling, traceability, and storage conditions for critical components.
· Manage laydown yards, indoor warehouses, and controlled storage environments.
· Ensure preservation schedules are maintained and documented.
· Insure inspection and maintenance of stored equipment and materials.
· Insure preservation logs and records for client and quality audits.
· Ensure equipment remains in install-ready condition throughout project duration.
· Ensure all warehousing and preservation activities comply with site safety regulations.
· Conduct safety meetings and hazard assessments for warehouse operations.
· Promote safe material handling, lifting practices, and equipment use.
· Ensure compliance with client, corporate, and regulatory safety standards.
· Investigate and report any incidents or near misses within the warehouse area.
· Lead warehouse supervisors, coordinators, and materials personnel.
· Provide daily direction to warehouse and preservation teams.
· Coordinate work with construction, procurement, and logistics teams.
· Mentor and support site leadership including supervisors and forepersons.
· Ensure workforce productivity and adherence to project objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
· Experience managing warehousing or materials operations on industrial or construction projects.
· Strong understanding of materials management systems and inventory control.
· Experience with equipment preservation practices for industrial equipment.
· Leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary site teams.
· Knowledge of industrial safety standards and warehouse best practices.
