Housekeeping Supervisor – Job Description
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, order, and overall presentation of guest rooms and public areas meet or exceed hotel brand standards. This role provides hands-on leadership to housekeeping staff while maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support housekeeping staff in the daily cleaning of assigned guest rooms and hotel areas in accordance with brand standards.
- Oversee daily laundry operations, ensuring proper handling, cleanliness, and timely availability of linens and guest supplies.
- Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and quality standards are consistently met.
- Ensure housekeeping carts are fully stocked, organized, and maintained with all necessary linens, amenities, and supplies.
- Monitor and ensure all housekeeping equipment is in safe, clean, and proper working condition.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Assign and monitor daily room assignments (approximately 14 rooms per shift, or as required based on occupancy).
- Train, guide, and support team members to ensure adherence to brand housekeeping standards and procedures.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment within the housekeeping department.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining strong communication with management.
- Ensure a consistently clean, well-maintained, and welcoming hotel environment that meets and exceeds guest expectations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by senior leadership.
