ColdStar Solutions Inc. is seeking a 4th year mechanic apprentice, who is committed to safety and looking to jump start their career! This position will be working closely with the company mechanic, assisting in all aspects of fleet repair and maintenance of fleet and buildings.
Responsibilities:
- Repairs trucks and trailers.
- Provides general facility maintenance.
- Able to trouble shoot motorized commercial trucks.
- Able to implement preventive maintenance and test vehicle performance.
- Diagnosing all phases of vehicle and equipment repair.
- Removing, cleaning, repairing, reinstalling, and adjusting vehicle components.
- Ensuring work orders are completed accurately.
- Selecting appropriate course of action for repairs.
- Evaluating completed work prior to release, seeking supervisor approval where required.
- Performing general repairs and maintenance tasks for our buildings.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of appropriate Automotive Provincial Apprenticeship level exams.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license required, class 3 with air brakes preferred.
- Ownership of basic hand tools.
- Adaptable and willing to do building maintenance jobs.
- Must be physically able to lift up to 100lbs safety (i.e brake drums).
