Overview
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Team Member to join our dynamic food service team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced restaurant environment, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a team setting. Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided. This position is vital in maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Support team members in various roles as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
- Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy shifts effectively
- Kitchen experience or food preparation skills are advantageous
- Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
