Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete finishing, masonry, and related construction skills. This role involves working on various projects including commercial, residential, and restoration sites, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. The Concrete Finisher will collaborate with other trades and use a variety of tools and techniques to deliver durable and aesthetically pleasing concrete surfaces.
Duties
- Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools, power tools, and trowels to achieve smooth, level, and textured finishes
- Install rebar and formwork according to schematics and blueprints for structural integrity
- Operate heavy equipment such as mixers, screeds, and other machinery necessary for concrete placement
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute projects accurately
- Cut, shape, and install concrete forms with precision using carpentry skills
- Conduct repairs or touch-ups on existing concrete surfaces to meet project specifications
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling hand tools, power tools, and materials
- Follow safety protocols including proper lifting techniques and the use of personal protective equipment
Requirements
- Proven experience in concrete finishing, masonry, or related construction fields
- Knowledge of mechanical systems relevant to heavy equipment operation and concrete forming processes
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and schematics for accurate project execution
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and flooring installation techniques
- Experience with rebar installation, caulking, restoration work, and renovation projects is preferred
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards and procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
- Valid construction experience with knowledge of schematics and blueprint reading is essential
