Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Store Assistant to join our retail team. This role is vital in providing excellent customer service, managing product displays, and ensuring the smooth operation of the store. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have a passion for technology and retail sales. Bilingual abilities and experience with merchandising or POS systems are highly valued. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits of new or popular items
- Provide knowledgeable assistance in technology sales, including explaining product specifications and usage
- Manage merchandising displays to ensure attractive and organized product presentation
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling, sales transactions, and receipts
- Upsell products and accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store environment
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Assist with inventory management, stock replenishment, and product restocking
- Support team members in achieving sales goals through effective communication and collaboration
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, or merchandising is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and basic math skills are advantageous
- Multilingual abilities, especially bilingual proficiency in English and another language, are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Experience with upselling techniques to enhance sales performance is desirable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and excellent customer service standards
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
