Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable to join our outdoor maintenance teams in Saskatoon & Prince Albert. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment related to snow removal and landscape maintenance.
Duties
- Clear snow and ice from walkways, driveways, parking lots, and other outdoor surfaces using shovels, snow blowers, or other mechanical equipment
- Assist with ice melt application to prevent slipping hazards
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of outdoor areas during winter months
- Operate hand tools and power tools such as snow blowers, salt spreaders, and mechanical shovels as needed, lawn mowers etc.
- Support landscape maintenance tasks including gardening, irrigation setup, and general horticulture duties during off-season periods
- Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning
Skills
- Experience with excavation, irrigation systems, gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating and maintaining hand tools, power tools, and small machinery
- Familiarity with construction or outdoor maintenance work is beneficial
- Strong physical stamina for extended periods of shoveling and outdoor labor in weather conditions
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to outdoor work and snow removal operations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety standards
Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 5 months
Pay: $17.00-$29.99 per hour
