Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Prep Cook/Dishwasher to join our restaurant team. Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and organizing ingredients for meal service
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils promptly and thoroughly
- Ensure proper food handling and storage procedures are followed to meet safety standards
- Support cooking staff with basic meal preparation tasks as needed
- Keep workstations sanitized and organized throughout shifts
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
- Assist in restocking supplies and maintaining inventory levels in the kitchen
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling of food products
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 40 pounds
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary
- Basic understanding of serving, cooking, meal preparation, and food industry standards is desirable
