Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking House person / Maintenance Worker to join our hospitality team. This role is essential in ensuring our hotel remains clean, safe, functional, and welcoming for guests and staff. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and property upkeep. Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, janitorial services, or general maintenance is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all public areas, including the lobby, hallways, elevators, stairwells, meeting rooms, and restrooms.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, unclogging drains, repairing minor fixtures, painting touch-ups, weeding flower beds and around the property.
- Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests.
- Assist housekeeping by delivering linens, towels, amenities, rollaway beds, cribs, and other supplies as needed.
- Remove trash and recyclables from guest floors and public areas.
- Set up and arrange meeting rooms and event spaces according to hotel requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities and report any safety hazards or maintenance issues.
- Ensure outdoor areas, entrances, and walkways are clean and well maintained.
- Operate cleaning equipment and maintenance tools safely and according to company procedures.
- Assist with snow removal, landscaping, or seasonal property maintenance regularly as required.
- Support other departments with operational needs and perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, building maintenance, janitorial services, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
- Basic knowledge of general maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, painting, and minor repairs.
- Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and basic maintenance tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and evening shifts as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $17.60 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 – 40.0 per week
