Field Coordinator
Indigenous Education - Community Based Programs (CBP)
Fall 2026/ Winter 2027
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
- Identifying field placements for students;
- Working closely with the Associate Dean or Program Coordinator to ensure successful completion of student placements;
- Interacting regularly with Supervisors in placement environments to deal with any issues or concerns;
- Organizing orientation sessions for placement students;
- Creating and maintaining a manual for placement students;
- Participating in committees and other meetings, as designated by the Associate Dean or Program Coordinator;
- Promoting positive relations for the University with related agencies; and
- Ensuring timely completion of placement reports, as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in applicable course of interest;
- Relevant experience in teaching students in a post-secondary environment;
- Experience with remedial language teaching skills would be considered an asset;
- Superior communication skills (written and verbal);
- Be a self-motivator who can work to achieve results while ensuring attention to detail and comply with academic reporting requirements;
- Experience working in a cross-cultural environment and the ability to speak a First Nations language are considered assets.
SALARY: Stipend for Field Coordinator is $7780
