Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Tire and Lube Technician to join our automotive service team. This role is essential in providing high-quality maintenance and repair services to our customers, ensuring their vehicles operate safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent customer service skills, and experience working with automotive systems. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is a plus. Duties
- Perform tire replacements, rotations, and balancing with precision and efficiency
- Conduct oil changes and fluid top-offs using appropriate tools and techniques
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance
- Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to perform repairs and maintenance tasks
- Assist with vehicle inspections, brake services, and other basic repairs as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure all tools are properly stored after use
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and addressing customer questions
- Promote additional services such as maintenance packages or sales of automotive products
Skills
- Prior dealership or mechanic experience highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and automotive maintenance equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the workday
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
- Good communication skills to explain technical information clearly to customers
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic sales skills to recommend additional services or products when appropriate
