Instructor Therapist (ABA) – Part-Time
Tamil Canadians with Special Needs (TCSN)
Tamil Canadians with Special Needs (TCSN) is seeking caring, dedicated, and motivated Instructor Therapists to join our team in supporting children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through evidence-based Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) services.
This position involves centre-based one-to-one and small group instruction in a supportive, collaborative, and structured learning environment.
Availability Required:
- Thursday and Friday morning/daytime shifts
- Evening shifts (3:00 PM – 8:00 PM)
- Weekends
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized ABA/IBI programs targeting communication, social skills, play, academic, and daily living skills
- Implement behaviour support plans and teach appropriate replacement behaviours
- Collect, record, and graph client data accurately on a daily basis
- Assist with student assessments and ongoing skill acquisition programming
- Prepare teaching materials and organize clinical program binders
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and session notes
- Collaborate with Clinical Supervisors and team members to support student progress
- Communicate professionally with families and colleagues while maintaining client confidentiality
Qualifications
- College Diploma or University Degree in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Behavioural Sciences, Autism & Behavioural Science, Child & Youth Care, Early Childhood Education, Social Service Work, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of experience implementing ABA/IBI programs with children or youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental disabilities
- Strong understanding of ABA principles and Verbal Behaviour programming
- Experience with data collection, analysis, and clinical documentation
- Experience preparing and organizing ABA teaching materials
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Reliable, patient, compassionate, and professional
Preferred Qualifications
- Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) Certification
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or equivalent behaviour management training
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR Certification
- Valid Ontario Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
