Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen line cook to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, hospitality, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. Previous experience in restaurant, hotel, or food handling environments is a plus but not required. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced culinary setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and basic cooking tasks under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and sanitizing equipment
- Support food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met
- Help with organizing supplies and ingredients for efficient kitchen operations
- Assist with serving food to customers or guests as needed
- Ensure proper storage of food items and dispose of waste appropriately
- Support the team during busy service times by performing various kitchen duties as assigned
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or hotel environments is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and maintaining sanitation standards in a kitchen setting
- Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling protocols
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays if required
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to hospitality and food service
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
